Tuverl App Revolutionizes Commuting in Zimbabwe, Making Public Transport Safer and More Efficient

Bulawayo-born Software Engineer, MR Hope Ndhlovu, Transforms Commuting in Zimbabwe with Innovative Taxi Application

BULAWAYO, ZIMBABWE - MR Hope Ndhlovu, a talented software engineer and recipient of the prestigious 2019 World Bank Youth Summit Award, is set to revolutionize commuting in Zimbabwe through his groundbreaking taxi application. Ndhlovu, who studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Harvard University, recently launched the Tuverl App, aiming to make public transport in Africa safer, more affordable, and highly efficient.

The Tuverl App, now available for download on Google Playstore, has already commenced operations in Bulawayo and is scheduled to launch in Harare in August. The visionary app seeks to enhance the commuting experience for millions of African commuters, offering improved accessibility and affordability.

"Our primary objective with the Tuverl App is to make public transport more accessible and affordable for millions of commuters across African countries," explains Ndhlovu. "By assisting public transport operators in reducing operational costs, optimizing routes, and increasing revenue, Tuverl strives to enhance the overall efficiency of the system. Commuters can now easily hail a taxi and conveniently pay for their public transportation using either cash or Fintech mobile app solutions. This eliminates the need to waste time searching or calling taxis to inquire about pick-up times and pricing."

One of the standout features of the Tuverl App is its comprehensive review system, empowering commuters to provide feedback on drivers and their overall commuting experience. By incentivizing drivers to deliver better customer service, Tuverl aims to elevate the quality of public transport for all. This unwavering commitment to raising industry standards distinguishes Tuverl from its competitors.

Catering to a specific demographic aged 18 to 40, the Tuverl App initially targets commuters in African countries, beginning with Zimbabwe. Ndhlovu explains, "The average commuter within this demographic exhibits high digital literacy rates and frequently utilizes various social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat. As these individuals heavily rely on public transport, embracing new technology and regularly using mobile banking apps for daily transactions, they are ideally suited to benefit from our app."

The Tuverl App offers a range of features designed to enhance the commuting experience for both commuters and drivers. Commuters can effortlessly sign up using their phone numbers and hail taxis while on the move. The app allows them to book taxis in advance for dates up to two weeks ahead, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience. Trip prices are predetermined based on distance, time, and a standardized base price for each city where Tuverl operates. Commuters can also keep a record of their trips, receive timely notifications about their trip requests and statuses, and enjoy sign-up discounts through referral codes.

On the other hand, drivers receive instant text notifications for every taxi request and booking, containing comprehensive information about the commuter, pick-up and destination locations, departure and estimated arrival times, and prices. By promptly responding to requests, drivers contribute to the fast and efficient delivery of services. They also receive daily SMS reports on the number of trips and revenue collected, with weekly and monthly aggregated data for further analysis.

To ensure a successful rollout, Ndhlovu and the Tuverl team have developed a comprehensive strategy that leverages social media platforms, maintains an informative website with regular blog updates, implements influencer marketing, and establishes partnerships with various organizations. Through active engagement on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, Tuverl will consistently connect with its audience by posting updates and relevant content.

Tuverl has strategically partnered with influential individuals who boast significant followings on social media platforms. Notable personalities such as Jahalemzansi Sibanda, Vuyisile Ndlovu, Allen Moyo, Cleo Ncube, Amanda Dube, Zithelo Mguni, Miyamiko Banda, Antonella Nare, and Junior Garnet have joined forces with Tuverl to support its mission.

Furthermore, Tuverl has implemented a partner referral system, enabling collaboration with various organizations. By providing partners with referral codes, they can distribute them to their followers, members, staff, and customers. This mutually beneficial arrangement expands Tuverl's user base while providing incentives for partner organizations.

Tuverl will maintain an active online presence through its website, regularly updating it with engaging content and weekly blogs that keep users informed about the app's progress. By providing comprehensive information about the app's features, Tuverl aims to educate and familiarize potential users with its functionalities.

With the launch of the Tuverl App, MR Hope Ndhlovu envisions a future where public transport in Africa is safer, more affordable, and highly efficient. By leveraging innovative technology, fostering driver accountability, and prioritizing the needs of commuters, Tuverl is set to transform the way people commute in Zimbabwe and beyond.
