Henkel South Africa Expands Market Presence in Zimbabwe Through Strategic Partnership

Henkel South Africa, a leading industrial and consumer goods company, has successfully entered the Zimbabwean market through a new distribution partnership with Cluster Diagnostics. The official launch took place in Harare on January 26, 2023, marking a significant milestone for both companies. The collaboration will primarily focus on the distribution of Henkel's industrial adhesives in Zimbabwe, with plans to expand into Zambia and Malawi.

Cluster Diagnostics, an established company specializing in diagnostic solutions for regions in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) with limited resources, has been appointed as a Henkel Premium Partner. This designation grants Cluster Diagnostics access to comprehensive technical support, training, up-to-date marketing materials, and an array of products and solutions that will benefit local customers.

The expansion into Zimbabwe aligns with Henkel's strategic goal of growing its customer base in the region. The initial target industries for the partnership are packaging and labelling, with potential expansion into other sectors as the business develops. Cluster Diagnostics will distribute Henkel's renowned industrial adhesives Technomelt and Aquence, which are widely used in end-of-line packaging and labelling applications. Additionally, the company will offer service products such as Technomelt liquid and solid cleaners, which effectively remove residual adhesive, grease, and grime prior to subsequent manufacturing applications.

Trevor Bolton, Adhesive Technologies sales manager at Henkel South Africa, expresses his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "Henkel South Africa has been actively seeking a partner to enter the Zimbabwean market for some time. The collaboration with Cluster Diagnostics has been in the works for a couple of years, and we are delighted to officially welcome them aboard. Moreover, the timing of this alliance is particularly significant as Henkel celebrates 100 years of excellence in adhesives globally."
