Kalmar emphasizes that these timely warnings not only play a pivotal role in preventing collisions but also effectively reduce the severity of such incidents. Moreover, the system serves to alleviate stress on the operator by fostering continuous vigilance and attentiveness during operations.

In addition to its collision detection capabilities, which effectively identify obstacles in the path of the straddle carrier or within its blind spots, the system also alerts the driver if the spreader—whether laden or empty—is positioned too low while approaching a container stack.
