Bolloré Africa Logistics, the largest transport and logistics operator in Africa, has undergone a significant rebranding and is now known as Africa Global Logistics (AGL). The rebranding comes as a result of its acquisition by MSC, a prominent container shipping giant.
The acquisition was successfully finalized at the end of 2022 and encompassed all of Bolloré Group's shipping, logistics, and terminal operations across the African continent.
With an extensive network of 250 subsidiaries and nearly 21,000 employees in 49 countries, including 47 within Africa, Bolloré Africa Logistics had established itself as a key player in the African transport and logistics industry. The company's operations primarily revolved around shipping, boasting a presence in 42 ports and operating 16 container terminal concessions, seven ferry terminals, two wood terminals, and a river terminal. Additionally, the company provided conventional stevedoring services.
In the field of logistics, Bolloré Africa Logistics maintained a presence in 47 countries, effectively managing all administrative and customs procedures for its clients, both pre- and post-transportation. The company excelled in facilitating import and export activities and ensuring the smooth carriage of goods to their final destinations.
