Koryx Copper’s Haib Project in southern Namibia has been ranked among the top global copper drill intercepts for the week of 27–31 October, according to the latest Fynd Exploration rankings.
The Haib deposit delivered an impressive copper grade of 0.22% over 441 metres, achieving a grade by width value of 97.0. This performance placed the project among the top three copper exploration results worldwide for the reporting period.
The results reaffirm the Haib Project’s potential as one of the oldest and largest known porphyry copper systems. They also highlight Namibia’s growing importance as a destination for copper exploration and investment amid rising global demand for critical minerals.
The ranking comes as Koryx Copper Inc. prepares to release an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for the Haib Project by the end of 2025. This follows positive outcomes from the company’s ongoing Phase 2 and Phase 3 drilling programmes.
Koryx recently announced assay results from 17 additional drill holes, totalling 5,556 metres. These results confirmed consistent copper mineralisation across all four target zones. Several drill intercepts exceeded the average grades in the current resource model, including 116 metres at 0.36% copper in hole HM96 and 50 metres at 0.33% copper in hole HM76.
“The new model also allows the geologists to improve and more accurately estimate the overall mineral resource. These updated models are currently being reviewed with the intention of updating and publishing the MRE before the end of 2025, aiming to realise the upside from the drill results received since the previous estimate in August 2024,” said Koryx President and CEO, Heye Daun.
Daun added that the company has completed relogging and geological reinterpretation of all drill cores. This includes incorporating new data on copper, molybdenum and gold mineralisation. The work, supported by specialist consultants, will form the foundation of the revised MRE and is expected to better capture the project’s expanding potential.
Koryx has also expanded its exploration capacity by adding four new portable drill rigs. This brings the total fleet to eight rigs dedicated to resource drilling and two rigs for geotechnical work.
“The site geological team has made notable progress in building an updated geological model, having completed the relogging of all available drill core, updated the database, and, under the guidance of our expert consultants, reinterpreted the entire lithological and structural model for the deposit,” Daun said.
Located in Namibia’s //Karas Region, the Haib Copper Project is an advanced-stage copper–molybdenum–gold deposit. The project is being developed with the aim of producing copper concentrate for global markets.
